Vernon residents make donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York

David and Linda Austin, of Vernon, N.Y., recently donated items to the Central New York Ronald McDonald House from the organization’s winter wish list. The list includes non-perishable food items, office supplies, household and family items, and gift cards.

The Austins invited guests at their annual Christmas party to bring items from the CNY Ronald McDonald House winter wish list in lieu of hostess gifts or party snacks.

David Austin brought the collected items to the House, including toiletries, snacks, beverages, board games, toys, cleaning supplies and gift cards to local grocery and drug stores.

He formerly served as the president of the CNY Ronald McDonald House Board of Directors from 1997 to 1998.

About Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York: Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY operates the 16-bedroom CNY Ronald McDonald House 24-hours a day, year-round as a “home away from home” for families whose children are hospitalized with serious illnesses or injuries. RMHC of CNY is planning to build a new, larger Ronald McDonald House that will allow the organization to help keep even more families with seriously ill children together.
