Mott Road kindergarten classes donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York

Students at Mott Road Elementary School in the Fayetteville-Manlius School District recently donated items to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York off of the charity’s wish list. Pictured are students in Mrs. Fletcher’s AM kindergarten class.

The wish list includes food, drinks, household items and restaurant and grocery gift cards for the families and children that stay at the CNY Ronald McDonald House. To view the complete wish list, visit www.cnyronaldmcdonaldhouse.org/how-you-can-help/wish-list/.

In addition, each kindergarten class created a banner for the House by tracing their hands and signing their names. The banners read, “Our hands may be small, but our hearts are BIG!” The project was set up by the kindergarten teachers, Miss Donahue, Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Fletcher, and interim school counselor, Julie Wolf.

About Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York: Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY operates the 16-bedroom CNY Ronald McDonald House 24-hours a day, year-round as a “home away from home” for families whose children are hospitalized with serious illnesses or injuries. RMHC of CNY is planning to build a new, larger Ronald McDonald House that will allow the organization to help keep even more families with seriously ill children together. For more information or to donate, visit www.cnyronaldmcdonaldhouse.org.
