Auburn family lends a hand
Members of the Van der Werff family (from L to R: Josephine, Bert, Geoffrey, Greg, Malyssa and friend Kelsey Swager) met with the guest families at the Ronald McDonald House of Central New York and donated their time and energy to a Saturday afternoon of housekeeping. They prepared a delicious dinner that was enjoyed by all of the guests at the House. The Van der Werffs stopped by the playroom before their departure for a group photo with “Ronald.”
About Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York: Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY operates the 16-bedroom CNY Ronald McDonald House 24-hours a day, year-round as a “home away from home” for families whose children are hospitalized with serious illnesses or injuries. RMHC of CNY is planning to build a new, larger Ronald McDonald House that will allow the organization to help keep even more families with seriously ill children together.
