Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club Golf Tournament raises money for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 17th Annual Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club Charity Memorial Golf Tournament raised $9,500 to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York. The event took place in June at the Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club in Cicero, N.Y.

Each year, members of the Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club hold a fundraising tournament in memory of deceased club members. The members select a charity beneficiary and raise money through raffles, on-course contests and more.

Proceeds from the 2011 tournament will go toward the current House’s operating budget and the building of a new, larger handicap-accessible CNY Ronald McDonald House.

“We are honored that the Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club chose our organization as the beneficiary of this year’s tournament,” said Beth Trunfio, executive director, Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY. “Their generous donation will help us continue to keep families together at the current House and reach our fundraising goal in order to complete construction on our new House. The new House will allow us to serve more families in need.”
