Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York appoints four new board members

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York has appointed four new members to its board of directors for 2009:

Jean Czarniak is a vocational rehabilitation counselor in the New York State Education Department’s Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) program. She has served as a volunteer main office assistant during the House’s night hours for seven years.

John H. Keib is the president of Time Warner Cable Inc. of Central New York. Keib was introduced to Ronald McDonald House Charities through the Rochester, N.Y., location.

Douglas K. Lattner is an owner and operator of four McDonald’s restaurants in Binghamton, N.Y., and Hallstead, Pa. He has had prior involvement with the Ronald McDonald House assisting with fundraising and promotion of the House to other organizations.

Colleen M. Schmidt is the executive director of government programs of Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. Schmidt has previously volunteered with other Central New York organizations.
