Baldwinsville Kiwanis Turkey Trot to benefit CNY Ronald McDonald House, Kamp Kiwanis and other children’s charities

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Baldwinsville Kiwanis Club will host the 43rd annual Baldwinsville Kiwanis Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 24, at Charles W. Baker High School, 29 East Oneida St., Baldwinsville, N.Y.

The annual Turkey Trot features a half-mile Kids Fun Run in addition to 5K and 10K races. The kids run starts at 8:30 a.m., the 5K at 9:15 a.m. and the 10K at 10 a.m.

Proceeds from the Baldwinsville Kiwanis Turkey Trot will benefit Ronald McDonald Charities of Central New York, Kamp Kiwanis and other charities that help meet the needs of children.

In 2009, the Baldwinsville Kiwanis Club pledged $25,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY to help build a new, larger handicap-accessible Ronald McDonald House.

The event also provides funding to send local children to Kamp Kiwanis, a coed camp for children ages 8 to 14 that is aimed at providing fun, physical exercise and adventure.

Registration is $25 on the day of the race and $20 online before 6 p.m. on Nov. 21. Kids 12 and under are free. To register online, visit http://baldwinsvillekiwanis.com. First 1,800 pre-registered entries will receive a free t-shirt.
