Our Dream Of A New Home Is Becoming A Reality!

For nearly 30 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central New York has served as a “home away from home” for thousands of families with seriously ill children being cared for in major Central New York care networks and clinics. During that time, we’ve watched the number of families requiring our services continue to grow. And, while our hearts always have room for more, our House doesn’t. As a result, we’ve embarked on a Capital Project to raise funding for a new, larger House.

To date, the generosity of so many donors in the counties we serve has helped us raise $5.3 million. Why We Need A New, Larger House

The new Central New York Ronald McDonald House will allow us to meet diverse needs and offer expanded services for new populations of guest families including:

The nearly 60 families whose children are hospitalized with mental health related issues traveling to the area for psychiatric care. The average length of stay for these patients is 46.6 days.The more than 250 women with high-risk pregnancies who travel to Syracuse for specialized prenatal care.Children receiving new outpatient treatments that require special hygiene and safety protocols.Caregivers of pediatric patients with handicap-accessible and medical needs who require an elevator and wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. “Sometimes the best news I can give a family is: I know a place where you can stay.”- Dr. Frank Smith Pediatric Cardiology Associates of CNY
