"The House That Love Built"
The Ronald McDonald House of CNY is a 16 bedroom home for families whose children are being treated for serious illnesses or injuries. Families who come to stay at the House must live 25 or more miles from the House. Social workers who are certified by RMHC of CNY refer families to the House when their child is hospitalized.

Child Life Program
RMHC of CNY supports the Child Life Program and activities at the 5C Clinic at the Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders at University Hospital, SUNY Upstate Medical University. This is a place where children undergoing treatments for serious illnesses may come and still be a child.
Grants
Our grants program began with a global RMHC initiative in 1997. Since that time we have supported programs meeting the needs of children in CNY and Northern PA. These grants have supported programs in therapeutic recreation, handicapped access playgrounds and equipment, adaptive technologies for children with developmental disabilities, the arts, leadership and mentoring, and alcohol prevention. A grants committee comprised of community leaders awards grants twice each year upon recommendation and review.
