Stay With Us

You can expect a warm and welcoming environment in which you will meet other families who share the same or similar burden. We are a continuum of care for the three area hospitals and affiliated clinics as well as Syracuse area pediatric specialists. Those hospitals currently include Crouse Hospital, Golisano Children’s Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. You will find almost everything you need to help make your stay by your child’s side just a little bit easier.

Guest families are welcomed to a private bedroom (one per family) following a certified referral from a hospital social worker or doctor’s staff from Crouse Hospital, Golisano Children’s Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. All rooms come equipped with bed linens and towels.

Arrangements must be made in advance through the social work department at one of the medical facilities served by the House or by a local physician’s office that is on the approved referral list. Your medical representative should call our office at (315) 476-1027 between 9am and 8pm as far in advance of your stay as possible. Check-in time is daily 9am to 8pm, for first-time check-ins and as late as 8:30pm for return check-ins, already familiar with the House.

The referral is not a reservation. Because we must manage our occupancy around the uncertainty of illness and medical treatment, we may experience sudden, unpredictable room shortages. For that reason, you are required to call our office at (315) 476-1027 – 24 hours in advance of your planned arrival time to check that space is still available. At that time your room will be confirmed.

Directions

From the North:

Route 81 South, take exit #18, go 2 blocks straight ahead on Almond St. Take a left turn onto Adams St. You will pass Upstate Medical University Hospital on your right. Go 3 blocks, take a left turn onto University Ave. Go 2 blocks, then the entrance to the Ronald McDonald House will be on your right, before you reach East Genesee St.

From the South:

Route 81 North. Take exit #18 onto Almond St. Take a right turn onto Adams St. You will pass Upstate Medical University Hospital on your right. Go 3 blocks, take a left turn onto University Ave. Go 2 blocks, then the entrance to the Ronald McDonald House will be on your right, before you reach East Genesee St.

From the East:

Route 690 West, take exit #13 at Townsend St. Take a left onto Townsend St. Go 5 blocks to East Genesee St. Take left onto East Genesee St. Go 5 blocks, take a right onto University Ave. The entrance to the Ronald McDonald House will be on your left.

From the West:

Route 690 East to Route 81 South, from 81 South take exit #18, go 2 blocks straight ahead on Almond St. Take a right turn onto Adams St. You will pass Upstate Medical University Hospital on your right. Go 3 blocks, take a left turn onto University Ave. Go 2 blocks, then the entrance to the Ronald McDonald House will be on your right, before you reach East Genesee St.

Please note: Your GPS or mapping website may indicate that University Ave. is a one-way street. Recent roadway improvements have turned University Ave. into a two-way street.
